Anita Chan is the dynamic owner of ANITA B SPA in San Francisco. Her love for beauty, wellness, and health sparked at the tender age of 14. After several years in the makeup industry, she noticed that achieving flawless looks was challenging when clients didn’t care for their skin, and she struggled with her own acne. This realization fueled her desire to not just cover imperfections but to solve the root problems.
Anita pursued an AA degree in Image Consulting and then created her own major at San Francisco State University, earning a BA in Fundamentals of Self-Image—a blend of Marketing, Psychology, and Speech Communication. Licensed as an aesthetician since 2004, Anita gained experience in luxury and medical spas, directed a makeup college, and even worked part-time as a flight attendant for Cathay Pacific Airlines. In 2016, she launched ANITA B SPA, where she mentors her team of estheticians. Anita’s approach is all about understanding each client’s unique skin and needs, providing education, compassion, and personalized care.

ELAIN SPRAGUE STUEBE

Ever since her Korean mother used to scrub her down, splash toner on, and rub cold cream onto her face, Elain Stuebe has been fascinated with the beauty industry! In 2003, Elain attained her esthetician license to pour her creative talents into starting a skincare company. After taking her board exam she learned she was expecting and started a family instead. Her fascination never ceased. She furthered her skills earning a Clinical Esthetics Certification from Concepts Institute of Advanced Esthetics. Since 2018, Elain has been a practicing senior esthetician at Anita B Spa specializing in mature skin, acneic skin, and skincare education. Elain understands that looking good and feeling good is a continuum - a lifelong practice of taking time to take care of oneself.
Elain is also a visual artist who earned her BFA from Dominican University in 1995. She is an active community member who has lived with her family in the Potrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco for over 20 years.

ELIZABETH MORA

Elizabeth Mora is a San Francisco native that has worked as a licensed esthetician since 2018. Her passion for skincare developed while working in beauty retail, where she became fascinated with learning more about the skin and the human body. Elizabeth holds two AS degrees—one in Allied Health and the other in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Social and Natural Sciences—and has also earned a BS degree in Nutrition/Dietetics from San Francisco State University.
She expertly meshes her knowledge of nutrition and skincare, helping clients understand how their overall health and nutrition can impact their skin. She believes that no two skins are the same and approaches everyone's skin differently, ensuring a unique experience for each client in her treatment room. Her goal for each client is to educate and help them understand their specific skin type while working together as a team to achieve their goals. She reassures her clients that the journey to healthy, glowing skin is not a scary or impossible one, but rather an exciting and empowering experience that can transform both their skin and their confidence.

ANJEANETTE SALOM

Anjeanette Salom’s love for esthetics started in makeup, but she always knew that a perfect look starts with a perfect base — your skin. She worked for different makeup companies and discovered a passion for helping people feel their best. She began her career in skincare by going to Skyline College, where she received her AA and esthetician license in 2019, joining ANITA B SPA soon after. In addition to serving the San Francisco area, she also provides glow-ups at her studio in Manteca.

RACHELE LAM

Rachele Lam is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist in San Francisco Bay Area, and founder of Fountyn Acupuncture. Her healing practice is nurturing and empowering, and centers around women’s health, skin, digestive issues, stress, and perinatal care. Previously, Rachele had a career in technology. Faced with a series of crippling, stress-related health issues, she turned to Chinese medicine to heal and ground herself. She regained a sense of calm and clarity that allowed her to thrive in all facets of her life. Wanting to share the transformational effects of the medicine, she decided to change careers and use Chinese medicine to help others in need of support and self-care. Chinese medicine is deeply rooted in Rachele’s culture and upbringing, and she hopes to share it in a way that is approachable and fun with her patients. She received her BA from Stanford University, where she studied Chinese Literature and Art, and went on to receive her Doctor of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Much of her specialized training focuses on fertility and skincare. Outside of the clinic, Rachele enjoys exploring the California coast with her husband, son, and brindle pup, dancing to live music, attending the ballet, and eating lots of Asian food.

MIKA SHIMIZU

Meredith is also a mental health advocate and they hope to get into psychiatric nursing and become a mental health therapist in expressive arts therapy (voice, singing, narrative/ poetry writing) for folks with complex Post traumatic stress, one day. I began my career as a database administrator in the aviation industry before transitioning into the medical field as a surgical technician specializing in ophthalmology. While I thrived in these technical and medical roles, my passion for beauty, healing, and spirituality ultimately led me to esthetics.
Beyond skincare, I have spent years exploring holistic healing, spirituality, and energy work, becoming attuned as a Reiki healer. My deep love for crystals and their vibrational energy, combined with tuning-forks therapy for pressure point healing, has further enriched my practice. One of my favorite treatments is a combination of hydro/micromicrodermabrasion with either radiofrequency followed by oxygenation or an enzyme peel followed by oxygenation—a trio of modalities that I believe are essential for achieving glowing, healthy skin. I strongly believe that hydro/microdermabrasion is the foundation of any facial, whether for anti-aging, acne treatment, or overall skin health, as removing dead skin cells is key to better absorption and long-lasting results. My specialty lies in my extensive training in customized hydromicrodermabrasion, where I use magnifying loupes to analyze skin texture and tailor the treatment to each client’s unique needs. This precise approach ensures instantly noticeable results, making every facial a transformative experience.

Growing up Asian, Thy didn’t want to be a doctor or nurse, even though that is what her parents wanted her to be. She wanted to be a different type of holistic healer. Thy is highly intuitive and uses her gift of clairsentience, clairaudience, and clairvoyance in her work. Besides being an Esthetician, she is also an Astrologer and Energy healer.
